Picking up and moving somewhere takes a lot of guts and I'm sure it wasn't easy for him like how your story isn't the easiest either. I constantly suffer from friendvy though so I feel you! Sounds like you're doing pretty well though! I loved Bridesmaids haha but probably because I couldn't help but laugh because that would totally happen to me and I laughed because I was nervous :P. I do sometimes feel frienvious, but then I remember that the things we have frienvy over aren't the whole picture.

Being a bit jealous is healthy as long as you're still genuinely happy for a friend's accomplishments, which it sounds like you are! And I love your last line: it's the perfect motivator. I hope my friends are as successful as I plan to be so they don't *need* to be envious, but we all get to that point at different times in our lives, so perhaps it will then be there time to shine.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3144072027287049699.post-80715892294953761622013-06-21T16:22:51.586-04:002013-06-21T16:22:51.586-04:00I loved this post. Loved.
I used to be in that headspace as well (of course there are some days where I back track and find myself there again...c'est la vie) but it is so self-harming to comparing yourself so someone else. You can never compare where you are at to where someone else is at.
Use them as inspiration to push yourself? sure thing! but to compare? that results in nothing positive.
I love that you realized this whole friend envy thing is such a waste of time. I had that with my friend, she seemed to have everything! But nothing is perfect. It is just that "grass is greener on the other side" mentality.
keep it up!
feel free to check out my blog :) I write a lot about self-esteem, positive living and just being awesome possum <3Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04618370120515704950noreply@blogger.com
